The archetypal energies that have influenced me throughout my life are liberator, warrior, seeker, hero, artist, adventurer, mother, healer, goddess, magical child.
In archetypal terms, I have an innate desire to contribute something in the way of healing and personal freedom. I am a constant seeker of truth and will spend any amount of time getting to the heart of the matter. I understand and respect boundaries, my own and others and am willing to use my warrior energy in that effort. I've taken the hero's journey a number of times throughout my life and recognize the importance of that journey to inner knowledge. I understand that it's necessary, but not easy, so I support and give encouragement to others considering that path. I am an artist and creator. I express myself in a variety of mediums. I don't mind taking risks. I have given birth to children, ideas, and businesses. I have the energy of goddesses Athena and Artemis, loving strategy, art, animals and nature. My magical child sees opportunities everywhere and I have an intuitive eye for seeing the potential and best in others.
This knowledge did not come easily. Like everyone else, I spent a great deal of time searching for answers and often blaming myself for not being the person I thought I should be. Pulled in opposite directions, not knowing the best choice, I saw myself as separate ~ different. Eventually the soul "gets" what it came for.
I felt it necessary to create. That was a driving force. My careers have been teaching, starting businesses, including publishing a City Regional Magazine. The magazine's mission was to liberate a community by exposing both endless possibilities and inherent deficits. In the process of liberating myself, I somehow managed to contribute to the emancipation of a community, winning the the City of Harrisburg's Mayor's Award for Distinguished Public Service.
I believe we live in a time of evolution and change that calls for personal examination and crucial decisions regarding how we engage within ourselves, our relations to others, and the world. The best choices are made with heart and mind in agreement. This much I know. Any decision based on fear is the wrong one.
Before we can make good decisions, we need to answer to our core values. We need to know what ideas frame our beliefs and where they originate. We need to understand our motivation and be completely honest and humble. This is how we grow and move forward with wisdom and courage.
I hope to meet you along a path at Into the Tangled Garden.
I honor the place within you where your courage, honor, love, hope and dreams live. Or as the Tibetans say, Tashi deley.

It is my desire to be in service to my soul. To experience everything as if it were the first time. To give myself the time it takes to create. To touch the earth and give thanks for it's beauty and bounty. To reach for the sky and high potential and explore the mystery of the cosmos. To treat each person as divine and sacred. To engage in a positive and cheerful way. |
